Oregon Metro Guide compatability

Father Christmas brought me an Oregon 300 and I wondered if my Metroguide V5 for Europe is compatable with it. Can't find out on the Garmin website. Anyone know?

Normally Garmin software is compatible with Garmin hardware - but I could be wrong.
